The Best Selling Cars in America

The Best Selling Cars in America

Not sure what car to buy or even where to start? While I’m a car guy, I realize most people probably don’t know the difference between a BMW and a Chevy. I’ve found that when introducing people to the industry, a great way to get them started is by checking out the best selling cars in America. Consumers are more educated than ever when it comes to cars thanks to easy-access resources like Kelley Blue Book, Consumer Reports, and Edmunds, and their purchases obviously reflect that. Let’s take a look at some of the best selling cars right now.

The 2013 Honda Accord

It makes sense why people are flocking to the Accord this year as Honda’s full redesign basically improved everything. This is an affordable midsize sedan that offers quite a bit of class. Above all, Accords are known for their dependability. It’s available as either a coupe or sedan and all models come with modern features like Bluetooth and a rearview camera.

The 2013 Toyota Camry

I’m not surprised at all to find the Camry in the second spot. The Camry and Accord have long gone neck and neck. For example, Toyota added a six-inch display screen this year to stay competitive with Honda. If you’re looking for a dependable midsize sedan, you’ll do well with the Camry.

The 2013 Ford Fusion

Now if you’re interested in supporting the American economy a little more directly, then the third best-selling car is the midsize 2013 Ford Fusion. Compared to other cars in the segment, the Fusion offers a look that’s more sporty and refined. It’s very much technology focused and fuel efficient, achieving up to 37 mpg highway. If you’re looking for  power, there’s also a turbocharged engine available that produces 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.

The 2013 Honda Civic

Rounding out our list is another Honda model, the 2013 Civic. The 2012 model’s redesign caught a lot of flack, so Honda went back to the drawing board. This compact has been greatly improved with styling upgrades, better handling, and new standard technology like the Honda i-MID infotainment system. And at the base level, you can get 39 mpg highway, which is something every driver should love.
